Need some really big high power speakers

IMO they do not. I heard a pair of CLS series CV's. IMO they sound nothing like traditional CV's. In fact, I rather liked them. I can't say that about traditional CV's.
 
I run Klipsch KG 4's for my left and right front mains and I have a 500 square foot great room. I purchased them brand new in 1988 ( I treasure them ) anyway , they sound incredible and the farther away from them that you get , the deeper the bass and the better they sound. The vintage Klipsch Loudspeakers are designed this way. That being said , your room would be perfect for these or any other Klipsch ( vintage ) Loudspeakers that aren't too big. Forte I , II , or III's for instance. The klipsch Forte III's Brand New today are $ 1,799.00 each and are amazing speakers requiring very little power to run them. They play LOUD or soft , which ever you choose. You can't go wrong with Klipsch. Thank God they are making the vintage line again. I'm considering a pair of Forte III's myself. They are virtually the same speaker as my KG 4's , however , they are larger and will probably shake my house off of the foundation. hope this suggestion helps.
 
How about my Altec Stonehenge 1's? From about 1972! And yes they will go LOUD with my 50 watt BEL 1001! Certainly a great ROCK speaker (and designed for that purpose!).
 
What I meant was, Peavey’s are by no means audiophile Speakers, but they do get loud. Perfect for a garage or party speaker. Didn’t mean they are just noise makers
