New England Winter Frankenfest February 23rd Clinton MA

If there is enough interest Peter might be talked into it. There was very little interest last time, and the laser ain't cheap to run.

I'd say set out the sign-up sheet for ultra-cool laser-etched nametags and he can fire it up if enough people sign up to make it feasable.

reasonable?

I made it home from Albuquerque late last night instead of getting stranded there today.
What I wil be bringing:

A/D/S L810 speakers that I had purchased from the widow of the original owner a couple of years ago. They are the early, cloth grill version and in perfect condition. I was told at the time that they had never been used.
They come with the original boxes (inners and outers) and the warranty cards.
Also included will be the A/D/S metal stands for them.

Wow - I used to have some L810's as described above and they were awesome

I've mounted the nametags from past "Fests" to the wall above my workbench and I display them with great pride.
This is yet another very wonderful gesture from Peter and Frank.

Best Regards, Al. Wise

Solder kit is packed. Packing the rest of the gear in my office. I will be bringing two loaves of fresh sourdough bread (baking them tonight) and some beer.
Oh and I would really love one of those laser etched tag jobbies, so sign me up!

Is anyone bringing a single-play CDP for sale?

Sorry for the double post (I already asked this over on BT) but wondering if people might be bringing any. If so PM me with details?

Still packing... Sourdough loves are in the oven! See you tomorrow!

Bread's done and so am I!!
Feast your eyes for tomorrow you'll be feasting upon them!!

Stylus microscope done and ready!

I just finished it up tonight. Here's a picture of it in action. The good news is that my new high power LED lighting system is much more adjustable than the halogen system. That allows the light to come in from the side allowing (trumpet fanfare, please) use of the 20X objective for a total magnification of 200X. I'm stoked. I think this should work about as well as anyone's stylus scope but I'm always open to suggestions and improvements. Now I just don't want to think of how much time I've put into this project... See you tomorrow.

We'll have to check out Billy's crust at 200X!!!

Thanks for all the effort on scope and loaves, guys.

Off to bed.

Looks like I will be making the trip tomorrow, very excited. I hope nobody minds, but I will be bringing along two of my sons ages 14 and 17. Great kids and have an awesome appreciation for the hobby. They will sit and listen to vinyl as long as I will spin it!

Being at the last minute, I wont have food or drink to contribute, but we will be getting our own. My wife is going through some spinal problems and i wasn't sure I would be able to leave her by herself for too long. She told me I better go or I would regret it...she is so right...and such a wonderful woman.

See you all tomorrow.
