That's pretty cool. I knew how one worked, but not the principle behind it. As far as the riding... I think they were tougher back then.

110 seconds of guys riding motorcycles... that's a heckuva long intro (and a bit boring). Sometimes the editor needs to step in and apply a little discipline.

It's pretty cool, though, how they build the differential. That's nicely done.

By the way, anyone who's ever been in a marching band has lived the principles of a differential, too.
 
I was a little puzzled with the long opening cycle tricks too. Perhaps GM thought it would make the subject matter a little more interesting. The pic with the drive shaft running through the middle of the car was a hoot.
