These arrived on my porch yesterday. I was a bit concerned about the condition of the boxes, but the speakers were very well packaged. So far I can only comment on build quality, because I had too much to do and didn’t get the chance to run them through their paces. These speakers are exceptionally well made. First brand new pair I've bought since 1981. They aren't cheap ($2,300), but I hustled, flipped, and horse-traded to get the money. Kinda adds some satisfaction! I’ll do some critical listening tomorrow with the fully recapped Pioneer SX-1250 and Technics SL-1700. Anyone else have a pair?

Looking forward to your sonic report. I've read they do take some time to "break in". Interested to hear what you say when you first listen to them, and after 20-30 hours of listening, if you hear any real differences. Congrats!

Checking in after about half of the suggested burn-in time. The first six hours were all Christmas music on the dining room rig (Sansui 771 Receiver, Sansui FR-3080) while trimming the tree, etc..
Christmas music is not a good test for new speakers, but certain well-recorded songs sounded excellent.
The 5's went on to my basement setup (Pioneer SX-1250, Technics SL-1700, Sony CMT-EX1 CD Player). I tried to play music I know very well so I could pick up on any nuisances or details that may not have been present in my former speakers (Polk Monitor 10's).
Some of the playlist:
Queen - Dragon Attack from The Game
Yes - Fragile
The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Dave Brubeck - Take Five
The Police - Ghost in the Machine
Ian Dury - New Boots and Panties
So far, these speakers are crisp, dense, accurate, and the soundstage is impressive. On good recordings, the holographic effect is incredible. You would swear a singer or instrument is coming straight out of the center of the sound field from an invisible center speaker. The more power you give them, the better they sound. I'll update after the recommended burn-in.

Nice to hear you are enjoying the Model 5's so far.
Those are some fantastic looking speakers! Love the grill treatment!
Thanks for the pics

I would love to hear a set of these. I need another set of speakers like I need another case of COVID but these just look stellar! Modern but with a very nice vintage vibe. I would like to hear comments from those that have heard these and the Yamaha NS1000’s.
