The quest to find recorded music that sounds like live is nuts. They never sound the same, although well recorded and mixed music can be ethereal, even better than live but definitely different.
"...Rock and Roll will never die..." Sorry Neil, phone culture killed most everything good, not just music. Autotune, lip sync'd concerts, boing boing thing (can't remember what it's called.) Even singers with real talent sound awful after audio "engineers" are done.
Nothing preventing music from being better than ever, digital tech can be awesome; most mainstream stuff is Mickey Mouse on purpose. I've heard that sound tech technique more or less peaked in the 1970's, seems about right.
Today, anyone with a computer can make a hit; fine, except we have rap? Rap? WTF, Rapture and The Booty Song, both of which are parodies were peak rap. Degenerated into decades of obscene complaining.
