Rhetorical Q, for me at least. Recent threads touch on this topic and I'm not debating. For those who like new music - within the last 10 years, give me a YouTube link to one song (if you could only pick one) that you'd play for a friend to expose them to new music. One song only unless by chance this goes past one page of comments, then post another.

I have 2 motives. First is selfish - I want to hear stuff I maybe haven't heard. The second is to expose open minds to some good, new music. Keep it fresh - last 10 years.

I'll start with this tame one. R&B, soul and funk overtones. A journey starts with the first step.

Here is my entry; 2Cellos. To add my twist this is an instrumental version of a much older song.

There is so much good new music available right now. The problem is it buried under mountains and mountains of pure dreck. Find new stuff you like can be very challenging. You find the good stuff where you can.
 
I'm kind of breaking the 10 year rule here, but this band is still active, touring, and closes out most of their sets with this song. The song itself was released on a 2003 album. I usually choose this one to appeal to the classic-rock die-hards. I don't see how these guitar solos are that far removed from Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. I get the same vibe, anyway. Vocals are much better on the studio track if anyone cares to check that out. But this live video gives a glimpse into the band's energy...and hairiness!

Lay Low from the album Q is another good guitar solo song!
