Have a look around and enjoy yourself - but tell us a little about you, too.
Like did you do your own work on the Yamaha?

Yes, I did do my own work on the Aventage. The ESS 9006 DAC is only a mediocre performer with the 5532, and is actually the lowest performing op-amp recommended by ESS. The sound quality by using the OPA-1612 is much more appealing to the listening I do.

Any op-amp saddled to the output of the DAC should not only have sufficient slew rate, THD+N performance, but most importantly, it should exceed the dynamic range and the recovery time for the content you are attempting to deliver. Yamaha simply didn't want to spend the money in the Aventage Series, (including the 5000) to properly implement differential output and I/V buffering.
