Hello AK-ers,

I've been lurking AK since quite a long time, just on and off... But recently when my interest to vintage audio is arise, I came here more often. Especially after I realize that AK is vintage audio information heaven.

Also, I'm impressed that this forum is very civilized, compare to few other audio forums... (don't want to mention).

PS. Now, after this, I feel better if I want to ask something to the seniors :)

Regards,
David

EDIT: wow I just realized, I register AK on 2009 and this is my first post here... :)

Glad you decided to post. You should post pictures of what is popular in Indonesia. We don't get to see the stuff from that part of the planet nearly often enough. I have come across some do-it-yourself write-ups of enthusiasts in your area and they are very enthusiastic and clever. Welcome.

Welcome. I had my broken foot x-rayed in Ambon around 1973. I don't suppose we met? :D

Hello Guys,

To all... thanks a lot for the very warm welcome.

@goldleaf: I cannot really tell what is favourite in Indonesia :), just I notice the that the new wave of new/young audio lovers (i.e. students or graduates) invest on headphone system. Even some serious player is also getting into headphone system. I hear some invest already more than 10K (of course what the cost for STAX system with their big amps). I personally starting all over again; I never really serious on audio, through it (and photography) is definitely my passion. Time, my work that makes me travel a lot and family simply not easily permit me.

@cubdog: never been in Ambon... yet :) the closest was at South Sulawesi last year (beautiful Tana Toraja)... but even if we meet, I would be still 4 years old :)

@petehall347: saya orang Indonesia, tapi masih belum bisa jelajah semua tempat di Indonesia. Luckily, my wife is an avid traveller, she makes me love travelling... (he, he, that's why audio is a bit sided...). Too bad in Indonesia, not all locations are well preserved. But some places here are really, really beautiful actually.

Hi Nate,

Salam kenal...

Bandung is so crowded now.. :(
Especially after Cikampek toll road now could link to Bandung via another toll road, the city is progressing too fast for its size.

Thanks for the grreting, Alienz...
