Next Year my Brother and I will have the First Mobile Record Store in Colorado!

So my brother has worked off and on at the largest record store in Colorado Springs. They've had some failed diversity ventures in the recent years and will eventually close leaving Colorado Springs (a city of 600K) will nothing but 2 very small record stores. We have decided to start the States first mobile record store, via a minibus (think elderly transport without seats and record bins). We are planning for next Spring, due to CV size, customer regs in the State. Wish us luck, I'll be a silent investor and maybe work solo weekends to build the business. It's always in the back of mind the old saying "what's the difference between owning a record store and large cheese pizza?" A large pizza can feed a family of four! We're currently in name mode, so any suggestions are appreciated!

In Sweden the public library service has mobile libraries that visit the remote towns and villages. This takes that concept to the next level. Me like! Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes

Good luck with your adVANture. Hopefully it won’t get too hot inside, otherwise it might need to be called The Warped Tour. Perhaps you could park at that food truck spot by Palmer HS. It’s that old gas station on the SE corner of Platte and Nevada. Can’t remember what it’s called at the moment...

I presume you’re referencing Independent Annex as the largest record store in town. They’re going to close!? That’s a bummer.

However, Colorado Springs has more than 2 record stores... Independent Annex, Leechpit, Earth Pig, What’s Left Records. Entertainmart also sells a huge amount of new and used records. Not that it’s a “store” but we do have the label Dark Descent Records in town as well. I’ve gone by the guys house to pick up records before.

We have an ice cream truck that comes around selling liquor infused popsicles called Booze Pops.
