Nikko Alpha II - full recap and issue

"The 230 is electronically identical to the Alpha 220 except for some minor cosmetic differences". I just read this on another forum. They sure look the same from the pics I've seen. PW5599, maybe your cap list is the same or really close.

They're wrong. The 230 has some feedback capacitors on the drivers, I suspect due to oscillation/instability in the 220. They're close, but not identical:

A/B, look at the 2 different output power transistors. 1 is an npn the other a pnp! Bingo!
