Norman Laboratories Model 335 CL Score Nirvana !!!

love my 335's

I was actually given these pair of speakers from a customer that was cleaning out his attic. Now at 45 years old I've owned a lot of speakers and this by far the best sounding speakers I've heard. Everything from old Motown, the BeeGees, 80's Glam rock, it all sounds wonderful. Wouldn't trade for these labs. You can't replace them. Just amazing.

I've had my Norman lab 11's for a few months now. 10 inch woofers with rubber surrounds and 2 phillips tweets. Great sounding AS speakers. Very comparable to my KLH 5's and 23's. Norman's don't show up too often. Grab em' when you can.:thmbsp:

Can't get a request for info on an EQ any more lost than tacking it onto a 3 year old thread on speakers. Maybe you could post a brand new thread about this unit, throw up a picture and get some fresh eyes on your question. Try Vintage SS
 
I have the model 8.They have a rubber surround 10 with a single Phillips tweeter.I gave $25 for the pair a few months ago and don't see myself ever letting them go.:nono:

I notice you have Imperial 7's (which I have never heard). How would you compare to your NL's?
 
I've had a pair of Model Elevens for some time now but haven't yet given them a listen.
As others have stated, the cabinet build is special.

Well the Norman's have tighter + more bass.The mids are a little better on the Norman's also.The high end seems to be about equal.I gave the same money for the Marantz and like them but the Norman's sound better to ME.I don't regret buying the Marantz at all they just don't give me the warm and fuzzy's as much as the Labs. The Norman's also have a smaller footprint for those with space concerns.

I am guessing the stands are original? I have never heard Elevens but I am sure they will sound great.:D

Check out my new 232's. Just racooned the woogers and gave them a coat of Feed 'n Wax. Normans have the nicest cabinets. These are just like new. Saved them from the dump due to "blown woofers."
 
Nice to see a NL thread once in a while. Ditto everyone on the build quality. Second to none for sure.:yes:
 
This is the second pair of Norman's I've had. The first pair was essentially the same speaker, just a little older. They were model 231's. They were a 10" 3-way of the same size as these with a slightly different cabinet design, and they had the clear poly woofer.

I'm keeping these for sure. The beautiful walnut cabs and the small-ish size have a very high WAF.
