OHM speakers

Anybody into Ohm CAM speakers? I am in the process of replacing the 8" drivers and passive radiators. The egg tweeters are fine. What can I expect sound wise and how will they compare to JBL 100s?

Thanks,

I've never heard of Ohm CAM speakers, so I'd love to see photos.

But any Ohm or Ohm Walsh speaker I've heard, in my opinion, were better than the L100s.

Go to OHM homepage. They are CAM PRO-42. Conventional speakers with egg tweeter, 8" driver and 12" passive radiator.

Funny you should ask. I just picked up a set of the CAM 42s. I bought them on a whim, never heard of them before.

I'll withhold judgment on them until I listen more... but so far they sound pretty good.

The bass is less than I expected (they are quoted to go down to 32 Hz on the Ohm web site).

I have some pro cam 32's;
6" woofer, 10" passive radiator.
good open sound overall....lacking a little in bass...
the directional tweeter is cool, fun to play with!
:thmbsp:

out of the ordinary...

I am replacing drivers and passive radiators with factory replacements ($ ouch!) and am anxious to hear them and will report my impressions. When I received them, they contained auto woofers and subwoofers. I will also be getting the SBA upgrade which is supposed to help the bass.
