Ohm Walsh 2

Ohm Walsh 2's, with one missing grill.
Assuming good condition, what would be;

  • a steal
  • a fair price
  • too much

THANKS!

A fair price would be about $150. You can extrapolate the others from there.
I believe grills are still available from Ohm in Brooklyn, though the old one is going to be a bit faded.
Nice speakers - I've got a pair I bought new.

Thanks for the reply...that's about what I was thinking.

I'd probably fashion a new pair of grills rather than buy new...shouldn't be too hard.

Shouldn't be hard - but probably will be!
You could make a baseplate with some wood and then make a wire frame.
Then you'll have to create a sock to go over it. By the time you're done you'll have determined that you should have just bought them.
Or you can just run them nekkid.

mine were a buck and a quarter (so to speak). Seems reasonable to me - they're pretty fine sounding little loudspeakers.

$35 sounds like a steal to me. The seller clearly did not know that we at the Ohm factory are usually willing to pay $150/pair for them.

I think I stole mine at $8.00.

I paid $200 for my pair including new grills. I guess the AKer that sold them to me ripped me off! (I think they had factory upgrades also). Nice sounding speakers, and cool looking IMHO.

You cannot be ripped off willingly. Take a look at factory upgrade prices, they do cost.

That said, they're nice speakers.
