Ohm Walsh 4 Audiophile Speakers - $750

I loved the Ohm Walsh 1XOs.

These would be a nice speaker to own. Just a touch on the high side.

Nice speaker.....how bad do you want them? For me, at $400 they'd be here at my place now. At $750 price point there's a lot of better competition.

If they've had the factory re-foam done recently, for $750 they'd be at my place right now. If not, yep, $400 would be a good price.

You are a mindreader.......I asked the seller if they had been refoamed in my reply to his sale post. Also locally here on the Boston C/L is a very recent pair of B&W 704's in rosenut finish offered at $750:

I've got a feeling at the $750 pricepoint the 704's would walk all over the Ohms........soundstage, imaging and bass response. Not to mention rubber surrounds, kevlar cones and an excellent tweeter.

Beemer - I have heard the 704's - still not worth the price. I am not a fan of B&W speakers - I have never heard a pair I liked. They are 'Woolly, Thumpy boxes' to me.

All depends on what's in front of those B&W's. These will show you exactly what's right and what's wrong. I would look elsewhere than the speaker to find the "wooly, thumpy".

Thank God they make a bunch of different speakers these days....not to mention all the vintage speakers that are out there.....

there's something for everyone's ears. :yes:
