Ugly Ohm Walsh

Wow what a nasty looking job. I have no idea if that's a good price for 5's or not but that paint job is certainly a big bargaining chip. A couple hours with a d-a sander and someone could have themselves a great pair of speakers.

Argh, gross. I'm willing to bet that is phosphorescent paint and probably glows in the dark/in response to UV light. Either someone who used them to throw raves or a kid who didn't really know what they were, or just a moron. The stock photo pic makes it extra sad lol.
I'd definitely work down the price because of that paint, that'd be like taking a '65 mustang and putting 20" spinners and some self stick racing stripes on it.

I just looked at hifishark and epay. It appears that nothing has sold anywhere near that price. There is a listing for $2500 and another for $3500 for limited editions. If they aren't marked Limited Edition I'll guess the right price is probably around $400.

Just because someone is asking for a lot of money for something it doesn't mean it's worth it.

Ohm is still selling new speakers and parts. Nice web site!

As far as the paint job goes-I think Geewiggles is right. Some knucklehead wanted the speakers to glow when the black light was on.

They might go with my drapes what do you think. they should blend right in

I think i still have my black light i used for my wall posters in the 70's

Someone woke up one morning and said "Wow, have I got an idea"

Maybe these were the speakers at the brail institute and someone thought they were using pledge.

It's not easy being green...or wise to paint your high dollar speakers green.
