We have two pairs of Cornwall IVs and don't even know about the Klipsch forum.
We Klipsch-o-philes are old news, now, anyway.
May as well talk about Altec A7 VOTT.
The in crowd wants to talk about Focal and Magico and Sonus Faber and Wilson.
We, on the other hand, want something left to leave to the kids.

OK @Cask05 that’s it. No more posting from you. I couldn’t take it if you did a George RR Martin on us — teasing us with an irresistible book that we can’t yet get our hands on.

Basically, if you can get your hands on the same or better drivers as those boutique-brand loudspeakers, you can save perhaps 90% or more on cost (...no kidding...) and actually have better acoustic performance...using DSP to dial everything in.

Over the past 11 years (since retirement from having to make a living-weekly), I found that I was becoming increasingly hampered in being able to say what I knew to be true. It wasn't until fall of 2021 in a closed subforum area where I was abruptly "ambushed". I was then threatened with expulsion from the forum and my newly posted data moved to another newly created thread...that I hadn't created (rather, the mod had created a new thread to move my data away from the thread that was created for that very purpose). Right out of the blue...
My new posts involved horn-loaded bass bin distortion down to sub-20 Hz. This was a then 10+ year old discussion thread in a closed area. The participants as a group were collectively trying to ascertain whether evidence existed to answer a question that another member had posed 10 years earlier. I had performed extensive DIY effort to make the subwoofers in question and had taken the measurements personally in-room. I then posted the data in that ancient thread that the mod had just bumped to apparently beat his drum on the company's latest propaganda about its upcoming new loudspeaker release (which the company was at least a year late in releasing).

The good thing about writing a book is that I don't get interrupted in the middle of a thought like that. I can instead focus on gathering data and information...without fanfare or primordial breast beating.

The forum is down yet again. If it comes back up, best to copy anything you might need, what a clusterflock. Gentex is what, an auto parts company? Owned by Blackrock and Vanguard institutional investments. These two companies are a bane to humanity, so expecting them to do the right thing is a pipedream, unless Larry Fink is an audiophile, they are going to squeeze Klipsch, Onkyo and Marantz dry. There will be no escape. Look for premium Klipsch car audio in the near future and all production in China. At this point in time, unless they have it baked into the contract, the Klipsch heritage line and producing speakers in Hope will either cease entirely or be reduced to producing a few Khorns or Jubilees.
That sounds like a sad state of affairs….
It's back up tonight, but I can't find anything to DL. It appears most has been scrubbed. As it has been said many times over many forums, the owners make the rules and if you don't like it, too bad. The thing is I've noticed that when a forum takes this approach, whether a private enterprise or corporation, things always head south, as if they are afraid to stand in the light of day because they know what is ahead. To me, they will never be able to tarnish the genius that was PWK. I would be surprised, but I hope they can pull it together before the shadows grow too long.
With friends like that, you don't need any enemies.

The Klipsch forum is down again.
I find it remarkable that the company hasn’t sorted out the problem(s) and/or apologized for the disruption. The repeated and continuing outages make them seem unprofessional.

It's sad to see this happening. I've been a member there for twenty years. The friends I've made, the deals I got on used equipment and in spite of the heated debates, it WAS a great place to be a part of. A lot of great people. I'm glad to see a handful of the guys I have learned from are now hanging out here now.
Audiokarma is great. This subforum could possibly fill the shoes of the once great Klipsch community?
Maybe one of the long-time Klipsch community members could start a dedicated forum? Similar to what HH Scott had.....but better. Thinking out loud here but something should be done. There's so many passionate Klipsch die-hards out there.

You have hit the problem right on the head, DIE-hards. Let's face it, most Klispch die-hards are dying off. I'm 67 now and I retired well at 62. If I wanted to spend $$$$ for new speakers, no problem. As a tinkerer with time on my hands and an eye for a good deal, vintage Heritage is a blast. I just wish I had more room, because Khorns, Belle, La Scala, would be in 'da house, yeah, I'd get them just for fun. I think this forum can do very well for all things Klipsch, but it would need a bit of promotion and perhaps a sub forum. Our number of posts probably doesn't rate that. It has taken me awhile to understand that the parade is here and to jump on before it passes us by. The Klipsch die hards are the true "Keepers of the Sound".
This is so sad for those of us who love Klipsch speakers and, of course, especially for the future of the company. Klipsch was extremely helpful and essential to me when I bought my used Klipschorns in 2006. I never participated in the Klipsch Forum but I learned so much there, along with information given to me directly from Klipsch employees who were more than eager to help me to update and improve my experience with my decades-old Klipschorns.
I’d buy Jubilees tomorrow if I could, but my commitment to Klipsch has severely dwindled.
