Just have a look at how they built it before committing one way or another. If they do dumb things like use a material known for its TENSILE strength to make a COMPRESSION pressure vessel, and buy said material second hand just before it expires, and then GLUE it to a material with entirely different stress/strain/yield/temperature curves, give that a pass.
If they did a much better job of engineering the thing, then it's probably alright.

Although the forum is up, it’s giving errors when I try to read posts.

why bother? it hasn't been an interesting place for 3-1/2 years. It's basically become "why don't my RP___ speakers work?" "Why can't I reach customer service?" or yet another 70's & 80's Klipschorn restoration project. given that the company seems to have abandoned customer service and with a seemingly increasing amount of products failing, the forum is becoming a liability for them.
I think I have more respect for Bose than Klipsch, especially after experiencing the "bone head" on the forum. What a joke (he is).

Out of morbid fascination I stopped in a few times recently. The only thing of worth was the old posts you could still access. I could count on one hand the old time members who were there the days I checked in. Somehow reminiscing over how it used to be has not been sufficient to want to show up again for anything other then old threads that were archived there.
It's a good archive though, pulled up a bunch of stuff I needed to do my Belle upgrades, spent a lot of time in there pulling on old threads. Some of it got zapped but there still remained plenty of discussion re: BMS vs. B&C 2", horns, tap settings, and a number of things related, of course it helped to know what I was looking for and didn't care if I spent months to comb through it all.
I figure as long as it's still there it ain't dead yet, even if it gets limited use/traffic/focus, and still call upon it and have done so for a long time, even despite the more recent path.

One guy was building a set of "CF5" speakers with a pile of Industrial kit. Looked pretty neat. Otherwise....

are you referring to Chief Bonehead? the lead engineer at Klipsch? The guy who helped PWK bring the Jubilee to life. He is a lot of things but not a joke IMHO.
BTW whatever was wrong technically with the KF seems fixed as of now.

While he’s actually made PWK’s speakers listenable, which is no small feat, his slovenly, good ol’ boy, country-bumpkin schtick is tiresome and unserious.

He didn’t bring the Jubilees to consumers for years which he admits on YouTube interviews and that he only reluctantly sold some professional Jubilees to some forum members who bothered him to sell them some, then they shared about them on the forum bringing more interest which led to the ones being sold now. I give some credit to the forum members for the modern Heritage line too. Klipsch can be slow at times, as for example with their horn loaded subwoofers not for sale yet.
They had a free valuable constant long term data resource from forum members that was instantly ended by one employe’s post. Don’t let your feelings make business decisions. They lost a great resource that was contributing to their business.

In retrospect, one of the most early indicators of "things to come" was when Michael (colterphoto1) was let go from Klipsch.
One of the most prolific posters and most helpful, knowledgable guys for the Heritage, Industrial speakers.
You know, all the products that most of the true forum guys (and gals) cared about.
Then there was Amy's departure... the OG moderator!

To be clear....anyone who wanted a pair (or more) could get them. When they were still manufactured. Now you can only get the 400lb monsters that have somewhere near 20 dB of boost dialed in at 20Hz.
