It may be worth fixing if I learn more about repairs. They don’t look nice but sound good .Were these photos taken at a garage dump? That background is making my eyelid twitch
The damage can be fixed by cutting out the bad part, bondo filler, sand and paint. Either that or new vinyl. In all cases not worth the effort unless strong sentimental value.
is this Even a real technology or a gimmick?Wow!, "G" sound technology!flubba flubba plplplplplplplplplplplpl flubba flubba plplplplplplplplplplplplplp flubba flubba Ghetto, I wouldn't mess with repairs, just use them in the basement, might be some good fridg mags in there.
Yeah but the brand is no longer called Phillips magnovox they are separate brands .Whoa there young man. Couple of things to make clear. First there is no such thing as a rubber based super glue. Second thing is Phillips and their subsidiary Magnavox are both alive and very healthy.
Take yourself a break from ridding the local thrift stores of their worthless junk and clean up your god awful mess of a living space.
You're welcome.
These aren't MDF, just particle board (and probably pretty lightweight particle board at that). You could probably mix up a sawdust/wood glue compound to fill the space, but I probably wouldn't use Gorilla glue since it expands during curing. If you really want to fix those, here is my secret map to MDF success:
Oh wood filler ? For all the Critics saying these speakers are junk . I’d rather be practice on junk then actually quality wooden speakers .If you want to fix the wood cabinets, head to Home Depot or Lowes and pick up either some Bondo wood filler or Minwax wood filler. Fill and build up the damage, sand and finish.
My dad is like addicted to those cheap noodles I should show him this video . They harden like concrete or wood !?? Good for repair jobs....Ramen noodles
If you’re new to any kind of speaker cab repair, make your learning mistakes on junk, not higher end gear. Why buy JUNK period, there is lots of better stuff almost everywhere and learn what by fixing stuff like this,it won't help much if you find better I don't consider this old speakers worthy of any work, they don't look like too much not really that old but hey if they turn your crank go for it![]()
