I like the Edcors quite a bit and I don't think they're lacking much. Of course, I don't have an awful lot to compare them to. Depending on which Edcor outputs the amp you're considering has, you might want to just start with them and listen for a while, and upgrade later if you feel it necessary. This amp was a budget build, but the sound belies that. My opinion, of course. :)

That sounds like good advice. By the way, the single ended WE421a amp that I am considering would be partnered with that fab pair of Tannolk's I got from you. It's only about 4.5 watts, so we'll have to see what happens.
