On the way to a new record for Fisher 400

I've seen several of his auctions before and sometimes he even lists things on the local CL. He always gets top dollar and always seems to have really nice condition items.

Yeah, that guy's listings are good. He and I both sold the same model ELAC cartridge within a few months of each other. His was slightly better cosmetically, mine had more of the rare stuff that gets lost out of the box. His sale went about $200 higher than mine.

Wow, he really does go the extra mile to make things look good. That 400 is real purty, too. It's about as old as me, wish I were in such great shape after all these years!

Either he is really good at cleaning the stuff up,or he pays someone that is.
He oughta buy that warehouse full of stuff from that guy in Ill. and go nutz !
$$$$$$$

WOW, that settles it. I have a line on a mint with wood case 400 for $475 locally. I am out the door in the next minutes(ASAP) to go get it.

One of the two bidders who was driving the rise retracted his bid(s), so the bid amount falls to the lowest winning bid by the other bidder, who now has a proxy reserve of at least $1225. This is the way an unscrupulous seller can determine the upper limit of a proxy, i.e. keep bidding until you are the winning bidder, in incrememts, then withdraw your bid. Watch for a last second bid that drives up the winning price to just within the current high bidder's max proxy.

BTW, here is the other bidder's bid history: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI....eName=PageBidderProfileViewBids_None_ViewLink

Holy crap. 42 bid retractions in the last six months. The guy's a dirtbag.

And, that is precisely the reason why I always recommend that bidders never use eBay's proxy bidding system, but always use separate sniping programs.
