Beautiful amp especially with the matching tuner. Mine had similar issues but a good DeOxit on all the switches and knobs made it sing like crazy. I don't know your experience level but I normally expect to clean the function selector switch on anything that comes in, first. It is normally left in the same position for years, and believe me, it can lead to a ton of different audio problems.
I also think with mine one of the bottom switches, like Subsonic or Mute, was also sticking causing a drop in volume. Tapping while music was playing helped figure out which one it was. They all get DeOxit or Faderlube anyway but it's nice to see which one is acting up first.
