Onkyo A7 little bass on right side

So,the left side is working fine and the right side tweets are working but very low signal on woofers.
So I was dumb and while power is on i took the plugs out of the preout/main and heard a little something.
Any ideas for this idiot.

Removing/replacing the pre‐out jumpers should not cause any damage unless the volume was set fairly high at the time. Turn power off, unplug, check any fuses and power it back up.

Have you confirmed the polarity of your speaker wires is correct ??

Red/+ terminal of amp to red/+ of speaker
Black/- terminal of amp to black/- of speaker

Some speaker wires are poorly marked and it is quite easy to make this mistake.

Yes,checked all except fuses will do that but not optimistic.

Beautiful amp especially with the matching tuner. Mine had similar issues but a good DeOxit on all the switches and knobs made it sing like crazy. I don't know your experience level but I normally expect to clean the function selector switch on anything that comes in, first. It is normally left in the same position for years, and believe me, it can lead to a ton of different audio problems.

I also think with mine one of the bottom switches, like Subsonic or Mute, was also sticking causing a drop in volume. Tapping while music was playing helped figure out which one it was. They all get DeOxit or Faderlube anyway but it's nice to see which one is acting up first.

Good luck, start with the easy stuff first, you'll have a lot of free time now that our hockey season has officially ended.

The bass & treble pots are sealed, I loosened the screws on mine to open them up just enough to get some fader lube in there. The selector switch is easy to clean up as it is exposed.

Soooooo,you were correct.
I thought I did a good enough deoxit job before I turned it on.
But nooooooo.!
It ended up being a dirty "bass defeat" knob!
Man,does this sound great with a pair of Advent OLAs,just exactly my system in 1979.
