A week ago I scored an Onkyo HT-RC180 for free. Well from the vet go it had what I came to find out was the DSP No Sound Chip Issue. It randomly started working for a day, ever since then it has not worked. I went and got a heat gun, thermo gun and some flux. I followed the YouTube videos to no avail. Did I do something wrong? I'm afraid I may have because I warped the ribbon pin connector accidently as seen in photos, enough to make the ribbon pop out while I was in the middle of reflowing. Did I mess something up? I found out later you need a specific heat gun, one with a small nozzle. I also wonder did I use the wrong reflux? When the system worked for that day, it sounded amazing. I want so bad to fix, but I'm afraid I perhaps did more damage than anything else.
