I would remove the screen, then use a strong tape to pull out the dent. A vacuum can cause irreparable damage in a second.

I have my doubts that tape would work on a metal dome. Have you tried this?

Yes, metal domes are only paper thin. Just don't expect your average scotch tape to do the trick.

Green Frog tape...painters tape. Start with lesser amount and add as needed for strength as to not overdo it.

The vacuum trick may restore the looks of this poor mid, but given what Fishcheer wrote I doubt it'll save the driver :

the mid took an impact in being couriered to me and now squeals like a banshee

If description is accurate, I am afraid the voice coil is rubbing in the magnet gap and this is a full rebuild option only.

The fellow who bought my pair, the same exact thing happened, and the sound was also terrible. He is the one whom had the luck with the vacuum method, and yes afterward the shape had returned and the coil rub ceased. It takes a delicate hand with the wand, applying a closer angle just ‘til it pops. This is done with the little protective grille in place, but mostly taped up to concentrate suction. Your hand and attention makes it work or not work. It is a precision type of job.

The screens are set in resin, Onkyo Japan uses heat to remove it all, and then supplies a new screen set in resin again. If a typical end user forces them out, then there’s little hope that they will get it to seat again.

The mids are finished with a very fragile bonded ceramic-diamond coating, strong tape will likely remove it. Suction through the screen will not. Or at least it did not in the case of the above mentioned job. I saw the after, you could not see so much as a crease without a glass.
