Onkyo tx-2500 Missing? Caps

I picked up a non-working Onkyo for $20 today because of the clean condition, even though no output. Turned out to be blown output fuses and seems to have no issues. I cleaned it up, gave it deoxit and it it is very nice as the photo shows.

I went to inspect the boards and for some reason C918 and C920 are not installed, but factory solder exists on the backside. See photos. The copied manual online shows C918 on the parts list but I could not locate 920. Are the caps missing by design or we're the likely removed and not replaced for some reason? Thanks for your help.

Steve

It is not missing any capacitors. It is almost always a production change. Seeing that that is higher grade receiver, maybe check the rear jacks and see if has pre-out / main-in jacks and jumpers installed. No jumpers, no sound.

Those circuit boards are splashed soldered on an assembly line. I used to work at a place that did computer boards that way called Talley corp. in Seattle.

Thanks. Must be for another model like the 4500 shown in the same service manual. No pre-out connections, but it does have an interesting set of Dolby Adapter in/out connections. Never saw that before. I'm not even sure if a Dolby FM Adapter was around when this piece was released.
