I'm currently working on a 4500. Initially, my issue was when trying to adjust the small trimmer cap, it broke. I was able to replace it and get the stations to appear where they need to be on the dial. But I have the "overly sensitive" tuning. When a station is finally tuned in, it appears to lock ok. But if you even sneeze at the tuning knob, it gets flaky. there is a pad behind the tuning knob with a wire and I originally thought that was loose or dirty. As just a little touch and the station would get all scratchy and mis tuned. No luck. I tried adjusting the T104/105 and got a little less sensitivity, but still not what is should be. Anyone else? Looks like these are common issues with these line of receivers. When the quartz lock works, it works very well. But when it doesn't ......
