onkyo tx 4500 vs 4500 mkII

hello I have a onkyo tx 4500 the first generation, which has difference with tx 400 mkII, which is better?

If you go by the hifiengine specs, the MKII makes 5 watts more, which is not at all significant. the other specs appear to be the same.

I have a MK1 myself. Personally I think it looks slightly better than the MK II.

The MK II series was built to compete against the bigger name brands during the "receiver wars". They are as good as it gets for mass produced units during that era. The earlier Mk I are keepers as well. Prices reflect the respect the MK II's have earned, while still way under the radar.

original onkyo is of better quality than his successor mkII, I think it's sound and features more winnable besides the mkII does not bring out pre-out / main in, the sound is warmer than the mkII, the onkyo tx 4500 mkII is a cheap copy of the original, onkyo wagered and put all the best in 4500 and onkyo tx 2500 quality love wealth are in these 2 receiver, and others are more commercial ($).

I loved TX-4500MkII as well. Unfortunately it just got bumped to the expendable rack when I came upon a Pioneer A-27.
