I'm considering a Crest Audio 3301 power amp for home use.
I would appreciate for any advice, comments or opinions pro or con on this amplifier or Crest in general i.e. compared to Crown, (my current amp).
thx.

Nothing wrong, just looking for a little more power. Current amp is a Crown D-75. Seems I can get the Crest Audio 3301 for a real good price and the specs seem very good.
I know Crown are built heavy duty and reliable, but I don't know anything about Crest amps.

Crest are good. They compete with Crown. I prefer Crown, but it tends to back and forth with Crest and Crown with a lot of the big touring systems. or at least it used to.

Crest are good - last a long time and put out beastly power. The Renkus-Heinz branded amps in our church PA are actually made by Crest, have been running for the last 14 years (not continuously). Note that you will have a fan in the 3301, but you will also have roughly six times the power of the D-75.

The Crest 3301 amplifier is finally home. Crest seems to be flying under the radar, I paid $140 for this one. I'm blown away by the build and sound quality of this amp. I’ve owned all sorts of amplification over the years from 1970’s super amps to Class A tube types and I am most impressed by this one. Clarity, detail and bass are outstanding. I paused my CD player and turned the volume all the way up and there was dead silence. No hiss at all and this with 220 wpc and 92 db/w speakers. The fan is a plus and from more than a couple of feet away it is inaudible. I couldn’t ask for more.

How's your 3301 working for you? There's one available locally for a reasonable price, how do you think this would work as a sub amp in home/ small pa applications? Will be pushing some old RCF 15s.
