I checked out an Oracle Delphi with Sumiko arm myself.
I passed on the Original but would have considered a MK II or up.
The MK II model, from what I have read, was a marked improvement from the original, which some reviewers complained of sub-audiophile quality wow and flutter and notable speed variantion issues.
Not an issue, claimed the reviewers of the MK II.
The Mission arm may be a Jelco made arm. It will be a lower end model, below the 250, but nonetheless a good arm. Not in the league of a Sumiko MMT or modded Rega RB250/300, but still a good arm.

Were the originals problematic?
I think that the earlier motors might have been of questionable reliability and quality control.
Along with the speed flux, it seems, from what I've read, MK II and up models did not suffer the speed issue due to a new motor, but I'm not sure of the reliability.

I guess my views are based on the fact that I have never seen an early Oracle that wasn't a basket case. If the springs and motor check out or have been replaced and it will stay set up, thats one thing. The early Alexandria's are the same today.

MKII use the same Pabst motor, only real difference between a MKI and MK II is a voltage regulator that plugged in between the wall wart and the turntable. For the day they were great turntable. With the maintenance kit they can be brought up to snuff with the exception of the motor. You could always retro fit a Live Origin motor and speed controller or wait for a MKIII or above to come along.
I started with a MKII got it working but had speed issues. Looked into upgrades, but ending falling into a deal on a MKV and have never looked back.

I have a Mk II that I haven't spun up in a couple of years. Getting ready to do that soon though. I do agree that the speed does seem to drift but only after a few days. I have never noticed any speed issues while listening. That being said I have always blamed it on the really poor power quality standards that they maintain in my area. I will be powering it off of a large power conditioner so I will see if that settles it down any.
In the mean time does anyone have the suspension setup gauge for this TT? If so could you maybe scan and email or link? Or perhaps list some dimensions?

The MKV- sounds like one hell of a table. What differences did the MK V feature over the earlier models?
I've never seen a MK III or IV- did they exist?
MKIII's and MKIV's exist, I just don't think their production runs were as long as the MKI II and V. All pretty much have the same sub-chassis and springs. Upgrades in motors, power supplies, bearing, speed controls, platters, mats and suspension happened over the years.
The MKI and MKV may look similar, but the only parts that would be interchangeable between the two would be the springs and the belt.
