A while back when they were first listed, I responded and never received any kind of response. I was wondering what happened to them.

yeah, i remember seeing it but never bothered. it would be nice but man it is a lot of coin to tie up at this time

I had contact with the seller (back when they were $500), and he was taking the highest bidder. I opted out, but now I reconsider as a pair of AR-1's in much worse condition sold for $2,000 on ebay today. Whatcha think about that?

i think they would be a nice addition to any ones collection. unfortunately i am not in position to add at this time. i forgot what they were asking for origanally but seems worth the investment if you wanted some flippin' speakers

I wonder though, if the seller will offer only on the condition that the buyer doesn't resell them on eBay?

seems there pretty darn interested in getting the most dollars out of them they can. enough has been said about the local economy and the effect on the market for such items. surprised they have not listed them on ebay themselfs. guessing its a matter they have never done it before and making the ebay sale would be tough with zero or near zero feedbck.

Way over priced in my opinion. Maybe half that ($500) would be more reasonable as anything sold on eBay you have to take with a grain of salt. The eventual buyer could be a plant to drive up the price and swindle the 2nd highest bidder who may be honest. Hope things work out for you.

Could be dicey on a flip. 755c's are getting less than $500/pair on eBay, so covering $1000 may be tough.

I had a pair I bought at the white elephant for $15 - they were mismatched (far apart serials & diff. terminals in back) - I was about to toss and I looked them up for the heck of it - they later sold on the 'bay for close to 1K and the buyer was very happy to get them......

I have two sales of AR-1's in my stored history. The first was a single AR-1 that sold for $800, and the second was a pair that sold for $2K.

I think after a thorough inspection and if these contain original 755A's, cabinets and grills are in good condition, then I'd expect over $2K on an international eBay auction.
