Same outfit as the $100k jbl speakers posted from before.

They certainly find some rare gems. And clearly know the far east is a potential buyer.

Kinda surprised given how professional they appear to be they dont already have some far east buyer connection to unload such finds as these with.

Again, I'm impressed.

Who would even consider buying a 28k item from CRAIGSLIST?

A LOAD of folks would if they thought they could flip whatever for a tidy profit.

Also car sales are HUGE on clist. Theres allot of both private and dealer ads.

And I've even seen the odd ball listing like a steinway piano. Which even I think is odd. Not sure that market is looking on clist for such a purchase lol

I’ve seen a bunch of unusual stuff from this same company on eBay too. I have wondered how they get all these one off, or pristine example JBL, Altec, etc speakers.

They go by “9957easy” on eBay.

Yes, he lists lots of hi-ed vintage speakers, on Ebay.

But, on the other hand, the ads stay up for a long time.

Hard to sell big expensive speakers....

My gut feeling is that few pieces are actually owned by the seller, most are
being brokered.

Even with an address, I'm not sure it is easy to steal a Steinway...
Easy is a relative term. ;)

Unless it's a pre-1930 upright, a Steinway should be no more difficult to steal than any other make.

The pre-1930 uprights have a rounded bottom, they won't rest flat on a dolly making them a real PITA to move.

No more difficult than any other make still isn't easy. I've actually moved an upright grand, which is a less awkward shape than a standard grand, and I wouldn't characterize it as easy.
And doing it while avoiding detection probably would make it even less so.
But I'm afraid we diverge from the original point of the thread - I was just making a joke, not actually trying to rate the difficulty.
