Anyone know of a sub for the pioneer pa1001a FM IC?
Tried the sleazebay route. Listed as NEW, DOA.

Any help is appreciated.

Things to check
Do the voltages on the schematic match what you are measuring? what pin does not match?
are you getting a good composite signal on pin 2, using a scope to measure?
vco is oscillating on terminal 45 TP?
sawtooth on pin 9?
I have one I can check with a scope.

I have a socket installed. Can't remember the bad pins. A good one slipped in makes it work.

Shame I don't own a good one.

There is another thread about this subject somewhere on AK. Do a search and see if it reached a conclusion.

what is it used in? It is a PITA but you could use a different stereo decoder chip i.e. HA11223 but you would need to proto up the design.

I had your problem in an SX-980 and ordered from this source in China. Installed and working perfectly for about a year now.

I tried doing just that. They showed ten available, then couldn't find any.
None have shown up on sleazebay since then.

again, what is it used in? as time goes by these parts will become increasingly harder to get and only be available from donors.
