Don't know much about console stereos but this one looks pretty cool. What do you guys think?

I doubt it's from the 70's like the seller says, it's way too classy looking. That has to be 60's vintage. Most 70's consoles are often gaudy and (in my opinion) hideous.

Yeah, those knobs and the TT look much more like mid 1960's to me. Maybe '64 or so...

The components inside are a dead ringer for the Packard Bell console my dad bought new circa 1964, had 12" 3-way speakers in it and a Garrard turntable along with that same tuner/preamp - or it's first cousin. Same knobs, layout, etc.

I have one of these. 1961 definitely. All tubes, Garrard Type A TT. These aren't just beautiful pieces of furniture, they also sound great.

Danish furniture design! A '60s give away! That was the era of the DANISH! No pun intended?

It is a lovely piece, simple modern lines that hold up over the decades; those Danes!

The price is insane. I picked up a RPC-31 for $7.00 at GW. I was told it didn't work. The GW people did not know how to turn it on, (pull out power button). Works great, sounds great. Heavy, it takes 2 people to lift it. Runs EL-84's, (stereo).

Plenty of $ in FL, someone might buy it. All depends on what it's worth to the buyer.

Its 60's. My parents had one just like it, along with the biggest Packard Bell b&w TV I ever saw. Its amazing it didn't sterilize me or burn out my eyes from the radiation.
