I believe the size difference is because of the mounting ring. With the ring it measures 15", without the tweeter mounting ring, the woofer itself would measure 12".

Those are the "302A Century" style cabinets, or sometimes they're referred to as Contemporary style, in Bozak literature, depending on year of manufacture. That style is my all-time personal favorite, of all the Bozak cabinet styles, as well.

I like the look of those better than my 302 Urbans. Very nice.
