PANAMAX HELP

Hello AK'ers
A friend is selling me a PANAMAX M5300ex, good shape, it turns on BUT have the problems shown in the pics....


the price is very very low (compared with a new equipment) but i can't find diagrams about the line conditioner

does it worth to repair?
anyone with a diagram of it?

Yeah, that looks like a can of worms. I mean you may get lucky and only have to replace one or two things, but you won't know till you clean off all that gunk and see what's actually burnt and what looks OK. Then check everything because appearance isn't a guarantee.

What does this unit go for new, or used/working for that matter?

It looks as if it took a direct hit from a bolt of lightning. :yikes: I wish you luck and please keep us informed. :thumbsup:
 
It doesn't look too bad at all. Unless you have major vaporised tracks underneath, it's probably an easy fix.

Step one, disconnect the cables (mark where they go) and clean the entire board in the kitchen sink with detergent and an old dish brush (not the one you use for dishes).
