I listened to these and thought they sounded really nice thinking about buying them for $800. Any thoughts on that price and quality of these speakers?
Thanks!

your buying local?

$800 is pretty steep considering they were like 1500 usd new, I wouldn't pay more than $500 used and they need to be in perfect condition

they are probably 10+ years old at this point, and aren't paradigms totl studio from that era.

I've always been a fan of canadian speakers, PSB/Paragigm always offer amazing price/performance

my advice is try to negotiate a lower price, and if you like the paradigm sound, you can pick up studio 100s v2/3/4 for around $800, they are like the 60s but with a more cohesive, full range driver array

I've listened to the 60's and have a good balanced sound but always felt the 80's did it better than the 60's or 100's. The 100's, to me, got a little bloated in the bass that was hard to get right. The 80's seemed to be the magic model from listening in others homes at least. I'd agree that price for the 60's seems way to high and a more reasonable one in perfect shape would be the $500 as myhifihead mentioned.

Thanks nyhifihead and Njoy-Music, your replies help a lot. These speakers are for a second system in another room(art studio). So I'm in no hurry! If the seller lowers the price down toward the $500 number I still will consider. I will try to get a listen to the 80's and 100's to see what I think. I'm looking for a decent deal ($800 or less approx budget) on nice sounding towers. I will be using a Pioneer sx850 for amplification.

I just picked up a "mintish" pair of these for $400 a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I would put these up against any other towers in the same price range ( neighborhood of $1200-$1500 a pair). I think I got a great deal and would go north of $600 easily for a good used pair. Only IMHO of course... Any thoughts anyone?

I ended up buying Tekton Lore Impulse and I am happy with them but I thought the Studio 60's sounded great when I heard them.
