PCB's, what's the worst makes for track lift?

VFD or something else? Sometimes with a VFD the real problem is the power supply that provides filament and plate voltage. If thats low it gets dim quickly even if the display itself isn't actually bad. If it gets just a wee bit marginal it will be very sensitive to filament voltage.


I have a spare cluster for my 84 Continental thats dead. At some point I need to dig that out again and see if I can figure out what ails it. Best guess is there is an internal power supply problem since all 3 displays are out but I have no schematics so fixing it is going to be a lot of poorly educated guesswork. Not critical if I can' fix it but I would like to have it as a spare since the one in the car is now over 40 years old and the newest possible one is a mere 38 years old at this point.
 
I'm not sure what type it was. My car, a 2018 Challenger 392 Scat Pack has a known issue with the center display unlaminating and the dealer gets a high price for a new one, and last time I looked on Ebay, they weren't a lot less for a good used one. Panasonic made it, and if it's past the 36 month bumper to bumper, it's not gonna be cheap. So far, I've had no problems, but.....?
 
I have found that the NAD 300 series seem very prone to track lifting. Rotel and Denon are pretty good on the units I've seen (early 80s through to fairly modern stuff). Pioneer equipment looks quite good as well.
