Philharmonic Audio

Hey all!

I wanted to start a thread about Philharmonic Audio on Audiokarma.

Dennis Murphy, speaker designer and all around great guy showcased his monitors and towers at Capital Audio Fest. Dennis a/b demo’d the towers and the monitor. Both are great and sound very similar. The towers just have a little more umph. These towers are delightful, have a great soundstage, and are very articulate lastly they dig down to about 22hz.

They measure great!
They look pretty cool!
And most of all they sounded great!

Here is a recent review:

I reserved the towers, hopefully they come in soon!

Dennis is also modifying my crossover on my KLH 5s, he’s a genius.

I have the latest version of the BMR monitors reserved with Dennis. According to Dennis, the shipment is on the water, but due to west coast delays, the ship has been rerouted through the Panama Canal and up to New York. ETA unknown at this time.

Dennis Murphy has been designing speakers and mentoring the DIY community for a number of years. His designs are smooth and easy to listen to for hours on end. One of the very best. I'm sure you're going to love the BMR monitors. And check out some of the speakers on Jim Salk's Salk Sound web site. Dennis has done the crossover design for many of Jim Salk's award-winning speakers.
