I recently acquired a Pilot 602 that is a bit beyond refurbishing. I love the sound of my 402 & I wondered what it would sound like with fresh everything, minimal components and NO tone controls. Since they are similar amps, I'm considering doing a scratch build as a power amp using these transformers. I have only been able to find one schematic online and it is such low res that I can't tell what all the values are.
Does anyone have a 602 schematic they could share?
I'm open to any thoughts or advice on this build. (should I keep the hum pots? Keep the simpli-matic bias tester? recommended mods?)
I'm not sure how many filter caps I'm going to need since I don't have the schematic. Hopefully I can get by with only 2.
