Hello all, been here a while and got away from audio...Now I'm back and dipping my toe in the pool. Currently I am gobbling up all the stuff I lusted after when i was young and broke!

I have recently purchased a set of Pinnacle Decibel Model 98db's. Any chance anyone here has info on these? The PO that had had them had nothing and couldn't remember who he bought them from.

I am pretty sure at least 1 woofer in each cabinet has been swapped for something much cheaper. The wiring was a disaster but I have most of that cleared up.

Hi.

I’ve owned the 98dbs since 93 - was a splurge since I had just started working as an engineer.

They have travelled with me across the USA, Germany Switzerland and now are still on in California.

I found this forum because my new kitten punctured small holes in my tweeter’s dust gap (I put the grills back on).

These are good speakers and have served me well for 30 years. The oak veneer has gradually gone golden and it looks great.

I love that I can play them at very low volume and still feel the music.

I’ve the manual — I’ll post a scan later.

These are the original speakers. The foam was redone by pinnacle a a long time ago.

The second photo is the puncture in the tweeter (today).

I’m going to dab some silicone to seal the holes.

Pinnacle used to offer parts - one of my tweeters was replaced a while back. I’m not sure which one.

Do you have any pics of the rear of the drivers?
I saw a video a while back they made me think mine may not have the originals but I have been looking for more details for months!
