Picked up a pair of CS-99A at a auction for fairly cheap. Cabinets showed some troubling water damage, but the drivers and lattice grills were surprisingly in perfect condition. I have been catching up on GD70 restoration thread and will be starting tomorrow with full veneer strip.
In the meantime I was able to fire them and they sound AWESOME, my resident Cantons are still keeping the dedicated spot - but boy will this be a fun project
Also, when I first plugged them in - one speaker only had the woofer active, I was worried the cross-over is gone - nope, the mid/high pots needed a few cycles with deoxit - stay tuned for details and wish me luck. Oh, and keep the wisdom coming my way
