Pioneer CT-F8282 does not play

Well here's my story. I have the CTF 8282 that only played for 5 seconds and then would stop. It also did not FFW or REW.
AK members helped by saying that I needed new belts and Markthefixer told me about the idler (clutch) problem. Well I ordered new belts from wjoe and sent the clutch to Mark for some of his magic fix.I replaced all the belts and reinstalled the clutch, now the FFW and the REW works but the unit does not play. I noticed that the capstan is not spinning. Note: I have no experience with electronics but really want to learn.

My CT-F7272 is a little sluggish to start playing. I have to engage pause, then play, then release pause. Starts fine that way.
This may not help, but worth a try.

Thanks, I tried that also and no response. Still does not play. I guess I'll poke around in tbere and see if anything looks out of place.

Clean the capstan motor switch. You should have the service manual. The switch is shown in it.
