my pioneer sx-1250 filter caps (The big 4 caps surrounding the transformer) are starting to bubble up and i dont want them to start leaking. where can I get some for my 1250.

the voltage is different??? I thought it was supposed to be 80v not 100. Will I have to adjust something on it for the different voltage. sorry if these are newb Q's im new to this kind of stuff. my dad just had some vintage sterio stuff and i thought it was cool so i got this and i did a deoxit cleaning and foung these caps bubbling thanks for the help
Right, you can sub a cap with one that has a higher voltage rating, just don't go "below" the original rating. On many capacitors the physical size has shrunk a bit over the years.
So sometimes its necessary to bump up the voltage spec anyway, to get a replacement of the same size.
When the large filter caps go they leave residue on the bottom cover. They vent from the bottom. If there is no residue, leave them alone. The unregulated power on the 1250 is very robust for the wattage of the set. It's not like it has to over work it self thru the years.
Better time is spent Deox'ing the switches and controls. Cleaning the pins and sockets on the amp boards and rebuilding the stabilizer board.

For my SX-1050 and SX-1250 I have used ADCOM 22000uf/100v....Do not see these currently. But the United Chemi-Con will work nicely,
