Pioneer PL-50 Broken Anti-Bias

Good Evening All, I apologize for such a short post, as my phone is about to die.
Just got home from the local record shop this afternoon, when I noticed one of my LP's sounded distorted. Noticing this, I checked my alignment. After seeing everything was fine, i decided to adjust the anti-bias a bit, as it seems to vary from album to album. When i dropped the needle once again, the stylus refused to travel passed the "record run-on" area, and begin my album. It continually skipped back onto the "run-on" area.

I then balanced the tonearm to suspend the cartridge, and spun the dial. Nothing happened.
I really don't want to take it in to have it professionally looked at, as the nearest shop is an hour away, and my current work sched7le doeant really permit this type of travel...
Any helo

There is a plastic lever inside the anti-skate mechanism that separates two magnets which alter the tension in the tonearm. This plastic part often cracks rendering the anti-skate function useless. The repair is not for the faint of heart as the tonearm has to be removed, the anti-skate mechanism opened, a pin removed, and then the plastic lever replaced.
