Pioneer PL-540 - Restoration advice

Hello guys,

After a successful restoration of my 3 amps (Sansui's AU-217/317/717) I'm planning to continue the "restoration wave" with my Pioneer PL-540... actually is working in good condition, but I would like to do the following:

- Usual maintenance: motor lubrication
- Dustcover replacement due to cracks
- RCA and AC power cables replacement (eventually RCA female sockets instead of a permanent cable if I figure out how to deal with ground connection)
- Replacement of 110v transformer for a 220v one
- Recap of 2 inner boards
- Re-wire of the original tone arm
- Capsule/Stylus calibration after all work is done

As this is my first turntable restoration, would you recommend doing something else or am I planning to restore something more than it should be?

Thanks!

Cheers,
Bruno.
