Calling all veteran audiophiles
Looking for any and all repair advice you may be interested in passing off.
I just purchased this Pioneer 949 from a local seller under the notion that the unit powered on, but audio was out and no longer working.
For $50 I felt like I couldn't afford NOT to grab it. Parts alone are worth plenty more than that.
Upon researching this is supposedly one of the hardest units to work on and in the end decided it may be better for someone a bit more knowledgable on the subject tamper with the real guts of the machine.
Any troubleshooting recommendations or possible Hail Mary attempts I should take first before seeking a specialist?
Same day I purchased a pair of Pioneer HPM100s & a pair of the Pioneer HPM40s, which I'll be posting another thread about. Any advice there is appreciated as well!
Also if anyone is local to Norfolk VA and would be interested in guiding me through the repair for compensation that would be incredible.
