I'll be honest, I probably won't be here long. First off I just don't know anything about things that run on electricity. I have to have my kids program my remotes. Although, I must admit I am pretty good at getting electrocuted and living to tell the tail. LOL I'm a metal scraper, I have a small truck and I scrap the public. Most things I recycle are dead beyond repair upon my arrival but every now and then you get lucky. For example, like a few weeks ago I'm driving through a neighborhood and I see a refrigerator door leaned up against a house. I figured the rest of it must be in the garage and the home owner might want to get rid of it so I knock on the door. The guy who opened the door was the owner of the house. He had to foreclose on the guy who had been living there and was buying the house. This guy just moved off and left everything. The owner had just gotten there and was waiting on the trash haulers to come and haul everything away. He told me I could have anything I wanted. I got 5 truck loads of stuff out of there and almost had the first truck load loaded up by the time the trash haulers got there. The first thing I took was the big screen 50" Sony TV. It didn't work, the color was all messed up but $125.00 later I now have the best TV I have ever owned. How lucky can you be, I am so grateful to have it. Plus he gave me the guys stereo system too. It is a Pioneer system with a SA-1290 stereo amplifier, Pioneer TX-1090Z am/fm digital tuner, Pioneer PD-4100 compact disk player, Pioneer CT-w300 stereo double cassette deck and a Sony CDP-C301M compact disc player. I have hooked them all up and they appear to come on and work but when I hook up a speaker to the amplifier I can't get any sound to come out. Plus, I would like to hook this system up to my TV for that surround sound theater experience but I have no Idea how to do that. On the front of the Pioneer SA-1290 stereo amplifier there is a light that says HIGH POWER OUTPUT that keeps flashing. Is there anyone out there that knows what that means and can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can hook this up to my TV? Thank you for your help.
