Clean Face plates are prolly one of the hardest parts to come by.
I believe they have one listed here http://www.partsolver.com/Default.asp but From what I hear they do not keep current on thier inventory. Bout all else I can suggest is finding a Dead 6800 on Ebay. Good luck

You guys rock.
Funny thing is I phoned Pioneer parts and they basically told me there was no chance they could get this part anymore. I pressed the guy on this, and he said he looked into it, but I gather from this ETA that he simply assumed they were unable to get any.
I watch eBay all the time. Unfortunately there isn't much out there right now.

You could also buy another amp for the same price as the faceplate

I've have a SA-6800 amp that has a bad transformer and I've burnt out all my tires after spinning my wheel trying to find a transformer. I got burnt on ebay when I bought the unit. I'm a frequent buyer and my user name is topekapost. I've never sold anything on ebay. I only collect like you and I've been doing it for about 9 months now. Well, I decided that I'm going to part it out and if you want, maybe I could sell you the face plate for 55.00 including the shipping. Then I'll donate 20.00 of the proceeds to AK or if you like you can sell me your transformer. Either will work for me.

Hi John,
Thanks for the offer! I don't have the 6800 any more. I claimed it for damage during shipping but didn't hear back from the post office, so it was a total loss. The post office might still have it - but I doubt it, this was a few years ago now. If I manage to get it back I will let you know.
