Hello, I am thinking about picking up one of these units up..
But not sure if it has the reel wood venner, or the vinyl rap.

Again this unit is a Pioneer SA-8500 11, Inergrated amp.

Thanks, for any replies.

You probably mean SA-8500 II , and not 11 . II means MKII which is different from MK1 (SA-8500 Simply) buy it's dual mono construction.
I had one , it had no wood case.

The two boards are a top and side of a Pioneer SA-8800 ,The vinyl can be a challenge to remove most of the time you can separate the top from the sides then re veneer them and glue and clamp just make sure you clamp them square after it dries than screw the original angle brackets in. I have had the sides separate from the top after taking the angle braces and vent screen off.

If I recall correctly the wood cases for the 8500II were an option at the time and made with walnut veneer. I was on the hunt for a case for my 8500II and they come up every once in awhile. Then again you could always talk to sawdust to see if he can make you one from solid stock. :D
