Pioneer SX-6000 Stereo Indicator Bulb Replacement

Hi folks. I'm finishing up some work on an SX-6000 and need to replace the stereo indicator bulb. The schematic shows a 6.3V, 0.03A bulb in series with a 470 ohm resistor. This bulb is turned on by the MPX unit through a transistor (2sc711) and the MPX schematic indicates Imax for the indicator is 30 mA. I can't find a 6.3V 30 mA bulb, (checking with DGWojo) but I thought I'd see what others have done to replace it. Snips of the schematics are attached for reference.

Sounds like you’re checking with the right guy. He got me the bulbs I needed for my SX-525 restoration, including the stereo indicator lamp.

Dave hooked me up with the proper bulb. . . . problem solved.

I have a Sherwood that needed a 30ma bulb, couldn't find one in the proper package and ended up converting it to an LED with a resistor across it to simulate the proper load. The Sherwood was reverse polarity too so I had to take apart the bulb and flip the LED inside so it would work right.

My Allied 495 (Pioneer SX-1500td) and the SX-990 parts unit I bought both use the same board as the SX-6000, but they have an external buffer transistor between the MPX board and the lamp. Lamp is 100ma I think, whatever the meter lamps are.
