Pioneer SX-950 newbie help.

Don't worry about the missing wire yet.

I'd clean the selector control. And the speaker selector switch.

I haven't worked on a 950 but others in the series. These are great receivers. I almost got 850 but...
When you say speaker selector switch. Do you mean the push buttons that select between speakers A B C? I’ve cleaned just about everything I can think of so far. I just can’t clean the source selector buttons because I can’t get to the other side of the board. It’s too packed in with tight wires.

You will want a service manual for the receiver to see boards, circuits, wiring...
It may be avail in the audiokarma database if you can't access downloads from hifiengine.
Edit:
I don't see the 950.

I found the service manual. It’s like reading hieroglyphs to me. But I’m gonna study up. Looks like there is supposed to be something on that pin that I mentioned on number 11IMG_4608.png

I recently acquired a Pioneer SX-950. I opened it up to clean all the dust and pots. I was only able to access the volume and balance pots. DeOxit helped a lot to get all the scratchy sounds and intermittent audio issues fixed. I noticed my tuning meter wasn’t moving. I noticed when I jiggle the FM selector button the tuning meter would intermittently work. So I spayed a short burst through the front panel onto all the selector buttons and worked them in. I waited about two mins. Turned on. The tuning meter works great. But now I have zero audio. And a small pop when I turn off the unit. And help would be greatly appreciated.
AS I heard from the tech guy, he lets it all dry out for a day after spraying so when power is applied there's nothing wet inside.
